Sun rained onto the lake, like fire flies
That shine in the darkness of the night,
Its sparks were appearing and disappearing
On the black surface of the water,
Only with frequency of rain drops hitting the puddles,
Creating ripple effect, or rather,
Blending with the ripples the current created,
Highlighting large and small areas, here and there.
While lazy-feathered clouds stretched their wings over the green pine trees
That perked up their pointy tops, reaching for the blue sky.
Fall colors peaked shyly through the receding leaves
That quivered in the light gust of wind.
Without the sun reflecting in it,
How very dark and lifeless the body of the lake would feel.
Without the lake,
The raining sun would go unnoticed.
