Biography

 Background Information

My name is Melissa Amen and I’m currently a 20-year-old Junior in college at Truman State University in Kirksville, MO. That is 4 hour northwest of the city where I grew up, St. Louis, MO. I’m majoring in English with the hope of working for a publishing company and writing my own novels. I grew up in St. Louis with my mother, stepfather and brothers.  Out of six children, I am the second oldest and the only girl.

I have many hobbies. My favorite hobby is of course, writing. I have been writing short stories and poems since I was thirteen.  I finished Phantom Faces this year and already have plans for three other novels, one of which is already in the works. I also enjoy reading, scrap booking, photography, crocheting, and cooking. I love to sit outside to do anything. I find that I can always clear my head by just sitting outside and relaxing.
