Greetings,
Being a spokesperson or mouthpiece for the Lord will cost you something? If you do not believe me, ask the Prophet Jeremiah. He was faithful to speak and do all God placed in his heart to say to the people. But they mocked and persecuted him. Despite the oppositions, he remained faithful to speak what "thus saith the Lord." Yes, he became weary and wanted to quit telling people what God said, but he could not. He said, "It (the Word) is like fire shut up in my bones." Jeremiah was compelled to speak the Word of God regardless of the cost.
As speakers and writers, we are God's mouthpieces too. We are compelled to tell others through our speaking and writing what He has placed in our hearts. Looking at the uncompromising faith of Jeremiah, can God trust you to speak or write on His behalf? Can He trust me to speak and write and share His Word in the face of mockery and persecution? In times past, I've fallen short in my faith and my faithfulness because of fear to share the good news of the Gospel. Rather than beat myself up when those times occurred; I repented and confessed my disobedience openly and move on.
Jesus is faithful; He is just. He is faithful even when I'm not. What about you? Has God given you a message to write or speak, but the enemy has used fear, mockery, etc., to shut your mouth. If so, here is the remedy for breaking the silence:
1. Repent (turn away) and confess your disobedience.
2. Know that God heard you; He is faithful and just to forgive you.
3. Move forward (speak the Word boldly in season and out of season).
We will face some challanges in life especially now with the bleak outlook of the economy, inflating gas and food prices, the mortgage meltdown, etc. Presidential candidates are campaigning across the country with their political agendas trying to inspire the hearts and canvas the votes of their audiences.
Recently, the Holy Spirit infused this scripture in my spirit, and I pray it will encourage your heart too. Psalm 62:5, "My soul waiteth only thou upon the Lord; my expectation is from Him." While I am waiting and expecting the Lord to move on my behalf, I am resting in Him. Resting in Him means I am speaking His Words and thinking His thoughts. Whatever He tells me to do, I'll do it.
