"Carolyn Kvajic's SONS OF THE BLACK HAND was a thrilling read. Not only did the plot keep me glued to the book, but I witnessed the Balkan conflict from a new perspective. I was impressed with Carolyn's portrayal of Alex as a complicated character trying to find her way in a world she doesn't feel she fully belongs to. She's feisty, strong-willed and just a bit unsure of herself.  As is, this is a great book that you can sit down and read over the weekend. I highly recommend it!"
