Born and raised in the Lake Charles, Louisiana area, graduated from Sulphur Hiigh School in 1962. Attended Univ of SW Louisiana in Lafayette, attended McNeese State College in Lake Charles, enlisted in the Navy in Oct 1963 and went to a number of training schools for aircraft maintenance. Spent 3 1/2 years in Anti-Submarine Warfare with a P-3 Orion squadron. Later stationed on the USS FORRESTAL for a short tour after a special operation until the July 29, 1967 fire. Served with several units in Vietnam and got out in 1971. Had total of 29 years in aviation and went back to college at Wichita State Univeersity after being laid off from the Boeing Airplane Company and received BA in English/Creative Writing.

Published photogrqapher/photojournalist, published poet (Diamond Homer Trophy for Poetry, International Poet of Merit, Shakespeare Award 2002,2003, Editor's Choice Award 2003), had first short story published in town paper in 6th grade, had first full novel published by PublishAmerica in 2003, awaiting publishing date on next novel. Have 5 novels completed and 2 still in Work.
